What Are EUSPBA Branches?

The Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA) covers a huge area, so it’s divided into regional branches to keep things connected locally.

Each branch is officially chartered by the Executive Committee under the By-Laws (Article II, Section 4) and operates with the same mission as the Association — to support piping and drumming, encourage education, and maintain fair competition.

What Branches Do

  • Represent members in their region

  • Support local contests, workshops, and meetings

  • Communicate regional feedback to the national Executive Committee

Current EUSPBA Branches

  • Metro – Metropolitan NYC & New Jersey

  • MidAtlantic – Delaware, Maryland, eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia

  • Northeast – Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont

  • Ohio Valley – Kentucky, Ohio, western Pennsylvania, West Virginia

  • Southern – Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee

  • Southwest – Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas

How They’re Funded

Branches don’t hold their own bank accounts.According to the Policy Manual (Section F, 1.13.23), any funding requests go through the Finance Committee for approval and are paid from the Association’s main account. This keeps finances transparent and consistent across all regions.

Why It Matters

Branches keep the EUSPBA close to its members — making sure that decisions and opportunities reflect the needs of pipers, drummers, and bands in every corner of our territory.
